One of the more interesting artifacts we encountered was located in a niche in a lonely section of the old city wall. Likely a figure of a once respected city elder or perhaps a famous warrior whose identity and accomplishments are now long lost in the dustbin of history. Alas, “Sic transit gloria mundi.” Surprisingly life-like, however.
